Added Nutrients and checked ph
This morning I added water and nutrients to my Tower Garden- and adjusted the ph back to 5.5. It took 5 minutes. This is what I call gardening!

| You know those small, colorful sweet peppers from Costco? I dried out some seeds and added them to my tower garden a few days ago. Sprouts! |

| A peek into the inner workings reveals the zucchini has found the mother lode! I will trim roots soon so they don't interfere with the pump. |

Two weeks in the tower
Here are the veggies - now two weeks in the tower garden. This weekend was rainy but the grow lights kept providing them with energy.
Ideally, the seeds would have received a week or two of full sun after germination. But for this experiment, I wanted to eliminate exposure to the bugs. Perhaps the next batch will be done outside in natural light.

Thursday, April 18, 2013
The sun is finally coming out and some natural light is shining on the Tower Garden for a few minutes in the morning and evening. I am continuing to illumine two sides of the unit with grow lights.
Remember that I started the seeds on April 1. The instructions call for sprouting them for 2-3 weeks before adding them to the Tower Garden. I added them much earlier so they are still small.
I checked the ph today and it was pushing 7 so I adjusted it to the recommended 5.5. Let's see if it makes the plants happier!
Got home from work and started jury-rigging the lighting a bit.
